R&D and manufacture of biomass gasification equipment, environmental protection equipment, boiler equipment, investment in heating (steam) energy operation and management.
With the popularization of the concept of green energy, biomass gas boilers as a thermal energy equipment that takes into account both environmental protection and energy utilization efficiency are being adopted and used by more and more industrial enterprises, agricultural systems and commercial buildings. In order to ensure its continuous efficient and safe operation, reasonable maintenance is essential.
1. Daily maintenance requirements: details determine life
Fuel management
Use dry biomass fuels that meet standards (such as wood chips, bio-pellets, agricultural and forestry waste, etc.), avoid mixing with over-humidified or high-impurity raw materials to prevent coking and carbon deposition.
Regularly clean the fuel bin, conveying pipeline and feeding device to prevent blockage or fuel retention leading to the risk of spontaneous combustion.
Ignition and operation monitoring
Before starting, check whether the gasifier, igniter, gas valve and gas pipeline are intact.
Pay attention to whether the flame state is stable and bright blue when the boiler is running. If red flame or yellow flame appears, check the gas-air mixture ratio.
Ash cleaning
Remove the ash accumulation in the ash hopper and settling chamber every day to maintain good combustion efficiency.
If an automatic ash removal system is used, it should also be checked regularly to see if it is operating normally to avoid pipe blockage or chain jamming.
Safety inspection
Check whether the gas pressure, temperature, water level, etc. are within the set safety value.
Check whether the alarm system, smoke exhaust device, pressure relief valve, ignition protection device, etc. are sensitive and effective.
2. Weekly/monthly maintenance suggestions: Preventive maintenance to extend equipment life
Check the fire grate and combustion chamber
Clean the coking on the surface of the fire grate and maintain good ventilation.
Check whether the fire grate and furnace are deformed, cracked or worn, and replace or repair if necessary.
Gasification device cleaning
Disassemble and inspect the carbonized residue and tar deposits in the gasification chamber, especially in the upper gasification or middle gasification furnace type.
Check whether the nozzle is blocked or damaged.
Check the sealing of the pipeline and valve
Check whether the gas pipeline is leaking with soapy water or pressure test method.
Lubricate the ball valve and control valve to ensure flexible opening and closing.
Clean the heat exchanger
The flue gas after biomass combustion can easily cause dust accumulation on the heat exchange tube wall, reducing the heat exchange efficiency. Air backwash or mechanical brushing can be used for cleaning.
3. Quarterly/annual maintenance items: Deep maintenance to ensure system stability
Boiler pressure system inspection
Check whether the pressure gauge, pressure controller, and water level gauge are calibrated correctly.
Check whether there are corrosion, leakage, rust and other problems inside and outside the boiler body.
Combustion efficiency evaluation
Use infrared flue gas analyzer to detect indicators such as CO, NOx, O₂, etc. to evaluate whether the combustion is complete.
Adjust parameters such as air volume ratio and fuel feed speed according to the analysis results.
Electronic control system maintenance
Check whether the PLC, solenoid valve, and control panel circuits are aging, poor contact, etc.
Perform system upgrades or function optimization on the operating interface software.
Boiler system anti-corrosion and insulation inspection
If it is out of use for a long time, the boiler system needs to be dried and maintained (such as nitrogen filling or desiccant).
Check whether the insulation cotton and pipe coating are aging and falling off to avoid heat loss.
As an efficient and environmentally friendly energy equipment, the operation stability of biomass gas boilers is highly dependent on daily and periodic maintenance. By establishing a standardized maintenance mechanism, it can not only improve the thermal efficiency and combustion stability of the boiler, but also effectively extend its service life, reduce operating costs, and ensure the achievement of both production and environmental protection goals.
Whether it is corporate users or large heating units, they should attach great importance to the maintenance of biomass gas boilers to ensure their long-term sustainable operation in the green and low-carbon transformation.
